Tricky having 2 photos and one response panel but we'll try... the vivid red leaf image appears to be a macro-shot of the well-known and widely grown Croton, aka Codiaeum Variegatum, and this very leaf appears to have featured in the pleasing Still Life Study earlier depicted.
The second image appears to be that of the broader section of the inner segment of the fallen frond from the Hyphorebe Lagenicalis, or the Bottle Palm, which grows throughout the Greater Brisbane Suburbs as an attractive and compact garden palm. The inner segment has an almost woody appearance when fully dried out, prior to which it is presented in a range of greens, light browns and mellow yellows. The dried segment is indeed a work of nature's art.
potential jigsaw puzzles too?? LOL~~~ like them...
LG, I might have known you'd have all the answers ! :) I am impressed ! ... Thanks anon ... I might have to get into the jigsaw puzzle business ! :)
