~ Anybody Home ? ~

Somewhere between the Rocky Point Sugar Mill and the Prawn Farm lies this abandoned relic from the past ... The views from it's hilltop location were spectacular, though the only life there to appreciate the glorious vista were a couple of cows who remained seemingly disinterested ... Perhaps after I had left, in true Gary Larson 'Far Side' style they may have muttered something along the lines of, "Thank God he's gone ... now THIS is the life !"

I love these rustic olde type buildings. It takes years to get the roofing iron rusted just right ! This nice shot would lend itself to some of your creative colourisation, not overdoing it mind, just tweeking up the browns and greys a bit. If you revisit the site sometime, some closeups of the rusting iron and weatherbeaten exterior wall sections could be very interesting.

i too love the "rustic olde type buildings"....imagination takes over for me...have some pics myself of some deserted gold excavating machinery in its building, deserted historical building, rusting....keeping the stories to itself of "back in the day..." zooming in on parts as luckyg says...makes imagination piquing pics....
hmmm...a rhyme of sorts.... *smile*

Was a lovely place to visit .. sadly the barbed-wire fence and "Keep out .. this means you!" sign prevented me from getting closer to the action !
