~ Spider Spider On The Wall .... ~
.
.Tried a number of different methods to breathe some life into this shot ... nothing quite seemed to capture the attention or the imagination ... then along came a ... solarizing filter ... brought the whole web to life and a depth of field thing that I liked ... (and let's just remember, it IS all about me after all ! :o)

oh wait..just took another look at the pic again...'X' marks the spot...what is he hiding?? *grin*
A good trick I learnt when photographing spider webs is to fill a clean, fairly-fine spray bottle with luke warm water and gently spray the web. Sometimes you'll find the spider may take offence, but often they will just stay put. That's a risk worth taking because the fine spray of water will be taken up by the web and should enhance it surprisingly well. You can also achieve a similar effect by photographing the web very early morning if there's been a light shower of rain earlier on.
Have I mentioned there's no bugs at the Grand Canyon? I truely do not miss walking through the yard and having these all over my face....this picture certainly bought back lots of memories for me, walking to the bus stop swinging sticks through the air for protection :)
