~ The Hills are Alive, to the Sound of ... Engines ~

A wonderful day at the Australian Hillclimb Championships at Mt. Cotton ... Ok, so it's a boy thing. It's amazing how far a Media Pass and a decent business card will get you !

Snuck in eh Andy ! Good one.You could try a couple of shots literally from ground level. You need to spread eagle on the deck with the lens on the edge of the seal. If you use your zoom lens you should avoid having to get real close. The lower angle raises the vehicle substantially and ( I think ) gives it more impact. Worth trying.

A few more comments... go for a high shutter speed which will probably mean a fairly wide aperture, but that helps, as you'll then be able to blur the background out to a mass of unfocused colours, putting more emphasis onto the subject. If you're up off the deck, like sitting, you could pan with the subject to create the feeling of speed. Using the Motordrive facility really helps... then select the best frames.
