They might be four generations and eighty years apart, but the same mischief is there in the eyes ... two very special girls enjoying their time together ...
A much wider aperture would have narrowed the depth of field substantially. In doing this, the effect would be the background would then soften right out of focus and become a soft blend of colours, thus enhancing the two girls even more.
I can see the mischief in both eyes too! But I can comment on how to improve the photo because I am about as artistic as a worm. I just love the photos viewed from a friend "across the pond" (A very large pond it is too!
I would be keen to see more photographs of the little girl. She seems to have a good "friendship" with the camera, a gorgeous smile and beautiful eyes. The red hair is to die for, her Dad must be one great big spunk! Hehehe Guess who!
Thank you luckyg ... out with the handbook for me ! ... so much to learn :) ... I do appreciate the wealth of knowledge you have so generously shared with me, you're a legend !
Thanks guys, this was just a quick snap at an informal family gathering but captures the character of both of these beautiful girls ... as for you anonymous, yes, her Dad is not a bad sort, but she really gets all of her natural charm and beauty from her Grandude ! *big grin* :)
love the generational pic~~~personality plus is what they apparently have !! isn't it a four generational pic?? perhaps i misread...will have to go back to read again... LOL~~~
Mr "Anonymous" perhaps you should read. It does clearly show 4 generations! I understand the cute little girl looks somewhat like her Aunt did as a child? Perhaps she's spunky too?! I think it's a glorious picture. I'm not the greatest photographer in the world, but it's not blurry, and they're both so cute. So great picture "aj". Caught a glorious natural moment and they're always the best :)

Thank you Chooky ... You're right, her Aunt is nothing short of gorgeous ! I can't wait to do some portrait seesions with said aunt later in the year ! .. LOVE YOU ! xox
Seeing I managed to post my comment twice (I'm a virgin at it!) I think we're even. A Seesion however does sound somewhat painful. *ouch* I LOVE THESE PICTURES !!!
ahh "amy"....twas indeed not correctly labeled "4 generations" when i read it...it was then corrected to that. *grin* just wanted to clarify MY comment...no harm meant. i do very much like this pic~~~
Although the original concept for this photo-blog may have changed somewhat due to Life, Love etc (ad nauseum), I WILL chip away at this thing (where possible) until I have completed the countdown from 365. Who knows, I may have a sudden rush of available time (cough) or overwhelming inspiration and still complete the project within the 12 months, although the realist in me says "you're dreamin' mate" ... Whatever, However and Whenever, fruition SHALL be reached (and I have it on good advice that Fruition is a rather nice place, particularly in Spring) :o)
