.One would assume this specimen to be a relative of the chap in the previous posting (267) ... Every bit as obliging as his brother, he sat REAL still and waited while I went about my business ... both have now replaced said snake on previously aforementioned Christmas card list ...

Excellent shot. I just love photographing such creatures. The closer one gets, the more they look like relics of the dinosaur days. Brilliant subject and you're quite right too Andy, as soon as they realise you don't pose a threat to them, they'll pose for you, keeping perfectly still for ages.
They certainly capture the attention LG .. can be quite mesmerising ... This fellow was probably almost a metre, nose to tip of tail, I think they're quite beautiful actually.
