When I spotted this little guy he darted off so I took off after him ... He wasn't running from me I discovered, he was chasing a 2 metre snake who was also making a hasty retreat into the water ... the snake got away into the reeds, the dragon stopped and posed nicely ... I have posted him a thank you note for being so obliging .. as for the snake, he's off my Christmas Card list ...

Put that snake back on the list Andy. If it wasn't for him your chance encounter with the little guy may not have happened. Nice shot.
Thanks LG ... I found the end result a little busy with the background, but I guess it does show the effectiveness of the critters camouflage !
